Rainy Tuesdays always feel like Mondays

This morning we had our first good rain in a long time, and it made it incredibly hard to get out of bed this morning. I trudged on though because I had a doctor’s appointment to go to. A couple weeks ago I had some tests run because I was really struggling to lose weight and I couldn’t figure out why. In 5 weeks I had been working out pretty intensively at least 2 and sometimes 4 days a week. I was on a very healthy caloric intake daily, and in 5 weeks I only lost about a pound and practically no inches, and only a percent of body fat. I was not impressed. Well, today those results came in. Turns out I have a severe vitamin D deficiency among other things. After talking with the doctor, I found it is most definitely the route cause of my fatigue, muscle weakness, and joint pains. Therefore, this week I begin taking perscribed vitamins (the size of a cat I’m sure).

Here’s hoping for some better results after having a nice visit at the doctor’s office. Honestly, I do’nt get physicals as often as one normally should so I’m recommending it. It was really nice to be able to talk directly to a doctor about any and all concerns I’m having about my health. Just to get suggestions and a professional perspective on things is really a nice change from the paranoid non-doctor in my head that always diagnoses me with something crazy.

And now, here’s a shot that is completely out of the blue and not at all close to the subject matter at hand. But it’s pretty and everyone knows a post is nothing without some photo goodness. Here is a ring shot I took of Susie and Cliff’s rings that I never posted. Aren’t the lovely?

Aww… Susie and Cliff who are now expecting!
Vitamin D deficiency is really popular right now – we keep being told to stay out of the sun and slather on sunscreen and keeping our bodies from getting natural nutrients. It will probably not only put a pep in your step but also keep you from getting sick and even make your hair feel healthier. Vitamins are important!
